Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking or culinary experience
  • basic knowledge of food preparation and safety
  • must be able to obtain food safety certification
  • strong communication skills
  • physical capability to perform job duties
  • willingness to work flexible hours
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or related role
  • knowledge of basic food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • ability to perform physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare a variety of dishes
  • ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
  • carry out preparation of ingredients including measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • safely use utensils including knives
  • operate appliances such as ovens, cookers, mixers, and cutting machinery
  • apply different cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • structure, enhance, and portion cuisine according to regulations
  • maintain quality and safety of food through proper storage
  • maintain sanitary and germ-free work environment
  • deliver excellent customer service with a friendly attitude
  • adhere to Aramark safety protocols and food safety procedures
  • ensure safety measures for organizational resources
