Job Requirements
- experience as a cook or in a related role required
- knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as food handling, sanitation, and storage
- ability to acquire food safety certification
- basic math and counting skills
- good interpersonal communication skills
- physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand or walk for extended periods

- validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations including food handling, sanitation, and storage
- ability to acquire food safety certification
- demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- ability to meet physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
Job Duties
- adapt duties and responsibilities to meet varying client requirements and operational needs at different Aramark locations
- follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare a diverse array of dishes
- ready the workstation with all required tools and ingredients
- prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
- safely use various utensils including knives
- operate appliances like ovens, cookers, cutting machinery, and mixers
- use different cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare meats, vegetables, and other foods
- enhance and portion cuisine based on established regulations
- maintain quality and safety of food through proper storage
- keep a sanitary and germ-free environment in work areas, devices, and utensils
- deliver excellent customer service with a cheerful and approachable demeanor
- ensure compliance with Aramark safety protocols including food safety and sanitation procedures
- maintain safety measures for organizational resources
