Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • five plus years of culinary leadership experience in institutional settings
  • ServSafe certification
  • proficiency with digital menu management tools
  • willingness to travel up to seventy-five percent
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to develop and deliver culinary training programs

Job Qualifications

  • Five plus years of culinary leadership in high-volume, scratch-cooking environments especially K-12 or higher education preferred
  • experience designing and executing multi-week menu cycles aligned with operational and culinary standards
  • proven ability to lead multi-site culinary programs including training, mentoring, and performance development
  • strong knowledge of educational foodservice operations, engagement strategies, and regulatory requirements particularly USDA and NSLP
  • skilled collaborator across operations, nutrition, and procurement teams balancing quality, compliance, and cost
  • excellent communication and motivational skills with a positive, energetic leadership style
  • proficient with digital tools for menu management, data tracking, and reporting
  • ServSafe certification required
  • bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or hospitality management preferred
  • bilingual in English and Spanish valued

Job Duties

  • Champion Genuine Foods’ commitment to healthy, scratch-made cooking using whole ingredients, seasonal produce, and culturally diverse recipes
  • conduct regular research and development to introduce new menu items monthly, incorporating seasonal ingredients, global flavors, and student/faculty feedback
  • stay current on nutrition trends, culinary techniques, and regulatory updates and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • lead the development and execution of multi-week menu cycles that reflect company culinary standards and operational goals
  • collaborate with operations, nutrition, and procurement teams to ensure menus meet cost targets, regulatory standards, and facility capabilities
  • design and deliver structured culinary training programs for field teams including onboarding, SOPs, and skill development
  • mentor and coach culinary staff across school districts and college campuses fostering a culture of growth, creativity, and accountability
