Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in cooking or food preparation
  • knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to perform required tasks
  • strong attention to detail
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • validated knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Adapt the duties and responsibilities to meet varying client requirements and operational needs at different locations
  • follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
  • ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • safely use utensils including knives
  • operate appliances such as ovens, cookers, cutting machinery, and mixers
  • apply cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare meats, vegetables, and other foods
  • structure, enhance, and portion cuisine based on regulations
  • maintain quality and safety of food through proper storage
  • maintain sanitary and germ-free environment in work areas, devices, and utensils
  • ensure delivery of excellent customer service with a positive demeanor
  • comply with safety protocols emphasizing food safety and sanitation
  • maintain safety measures for organizational resources
