Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent if not currently a student
  • two plus years experience as a cook or supervisor in the restaurant industry
  • completion of cast certification program or in progress
  • completed all legally required state or local training and certifications
  • completion of Regal Responsible Beverage Server training
  • ServSafe or equivalent certification
  • fluent in English
  • able to perform calculations and identify errors
  • proven computer skills with PC platforms and office software
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • physically able to perform required tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 60 lbs
  • knowledge of food safety and emergency procedures
  • completion or progress in management certification
  • SDS training
  • food handler’s card and ServSafe Food Manager Certification
  • compliance with federal and state laws for breaks and meal periods
  • ability to handle confidential situations professionally

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent if not currently a student
  • two plus years experience as a cook or supervisor in the restaurant industry
  • previous experience as a supervisor or lead cook
  • able to read and follow standardized recipes and strong knowledge of food handling procedures
  • completion of cast certification program or progress towards completion
  • completed any legally required state or local training and required certificates
  • completed Regal Responsible Beverage Server training
  • ServSafe or equivalent certification
  • possess good public speaking skills
  • fluent English required, Spanish a plus
  • perform calculations with speed and accuracy
  • identify and correct errors
  • identify problems, gather data, evaluate information, reach conclusions and take action
  • proven experience with PC platforms and office programs
  • operate office equipment
  • excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers and management
  • ability to set goals, budget time and work in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • responsible for food costs
  • must be of legal age to sell and/or serve alcohol per state and/or local laws
  • in charge of hiring, interviewing, scheduling and counseling kitchen team
  • training and supervision of kitchen team
  • ensuring guest satisfaction - smile, greet, and thank all guests
  • take prompt, appropriate action to turn dissatisfied guests into repeat guests
  • respond personally to guest questions and complaints
  • remain knowledgeable on all food menu items, including specials and promotions
  • comply with all food safety rules, laws, protocols, and standards
  • adhere and maintain all Health Department rules and regulations
  • train kitchen staff in specific stations and cross-train as needed
  • maintain kitchen staff levels to ensure adequate workers while controlling labor costs
  • cook a variety of foods appropriately to maintain proper flavor and appearance and plate food according to proper procedures
  • keep updated on recipe changes
  • supervise kitchen maintenance, including minor repairs
  • ensure consistent preparation and serving per Regal's recipes and standards
  • properly store food items, label, date and sign all products
  • rotate stock items as per procedures
  • restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
  • collaborate with managers, cooks, and servers to prepare meals timely
  • report and maintain accurate inventory
  • ensure food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at shift end
  • maintain a clean as you go approach
  • complete daily kitchen logs for temperatures and sanitation
  • knowledge of operation and cleaning of all related equipment
  • maintain proper use of storerooms and cleaning materials per SDS
  • knowledge of all opening, closing and show procedures
  • knowledge of emergency, evacuation and robbery procedures
  • knowledge and compliance with dress code and personal hygiene
  • accurately track and report tips
  • knowledgeable of correct popper operation and emergency procedures
  • completion or progress towards management certification program
  • abide by federal and state laws for breaks and meal periods
  • handle lost and found items per policy
  • SDS trained
  • obtain food handlers card and ServSafe Food Manager Certification
  • report damages, maintenance issues, and suspicious activity to management
  • review and understand the Regal Operations Manual
  • required to read and understand training materials including sexual harassment and discrimination
