Job Requirements

  • Must have experience in a refinery plant or chemical plant and truck unloading/loading environment
  • ability to perform basic computer, email, and fax functions
  • good verbal, written, and oral communication skills
  • self-motivated and able to work alone or in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in an oil refinery or chemical plant environment
  • knowledge of truck loading/unloading operations
  • ability to perform basic computer, email, and fax functions
  • good verbal, written, and oral communication skills
  • self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • ability to operate powered lift trucks
  • basic math skills for calculating tank levels
  • understanding of basic pump operations and troubleshooting

Job Duties

  • Monitor tank levels and transfer inventory in/out as needed
  • monitor incoming trucks bringing in used motor oil, antifreeze, and oily water
  • monitor outgoing trucks taking out asphalt and wastewater
  • monitor the loading/unloading operations the entire time the pump is moving product to or from the truck
  • drive powered lift trucks and be aware of their load limits
  • perform maintenance, housekeeping, or other activities in the warehouse, truck rack, and dock area as directed by supervisor
  • train relief personnel on operations as needed
