Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- must have a valid driving license
- must be able to pass a DOT physical for a DOT medical card
- ability to provide own transportation to and from work
- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
- ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- ability to speak effectively before groups
- ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
- physical capability to regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- vision requirements including 20/40 vision naturally or corrected
- hearing should be excellent or corrected by audio device
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- provide own transportation to and from work
- valid driving license along with a driving record meeting company safety guidelines to operate a company vehicle
- must be able to pass a DOT physical for a DOT medical card
- at least 18 years of age
- ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
- ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- ability to speak effectively before groups
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions
- ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- flagger/traffic control training certification (preferred)
Job Duties
- Erecting and maintaining traffic control signs and devices according to MUTCD standards
- keeping equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly on the project sites
- carrying out detailed instructions for setting up and removing traffic control devices
- using good judgment in decision making and working without direct supervision
- maintaining a polite and professional attitude toward motorists
- working safely in traffic situations and following company policies and procedures
