Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • ability to work weekend and evening hours
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • experience with community outreach or sales
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • ability to travel at least 65 percent of the time
  • must embrace Girl Scout philosophy and willingness to maintain membership

Job Qualifications

  • Sales experience preferred
  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience may be considered
  • valid driver's license and proof of insurance required
  • willingness to work weekend and evening hours
  • bilingual preferred
  • ability to understand organizational landscape and passion for Girl Scouts and nonprofit work
  • expertise in communication with girls, volunteers, parents, donors, and community
  • strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook
  • ability to learn new technologies
  • willingness to subscribe to Girl Scout principles and maintain membership

Job Duties

  • Assist in achieving the council's strategic goals for girl and adult membership in assigned areas
  • plan and execute various recruitment events including school open houses, lunch/recess events, parent group meetings, community events, educational fairs, library events, and council sponsored events
  • prepare a variety of status reports including activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals
  • cultivate relationships with community leaders, organizations, and businesses to support recruitment efforts
  • ensure Girl Scouting is open to all by delivering the message of pluralism and diversity
  • follow up on new leads and referrals promptly
  • understand the sales process and manage leads effectively
