Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in recreation or related area
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in recreation, parks, or related fields
- Valid driver's license
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification within six months of hire
- Youth Program Quality Assessment certification within one year of hire
- Trauma Informed Care/ACES training within one year of hire
- Technology of Participation Facilitation Training within two years of hire

Job Duties
- Assess community recreation program needs and research new strategies for meeting those needs
- Plan, implement, and supervise programs and community activities and events
- Recruit, train, and supervise department staff including crisis intervention
- Supervise program specialists for K-5 programs and summer camps
- Supervise teen program specialists and staff to support on-site programming including relationship building and behavior management
- Supervise and support Welcome and Registration staff and procedures for the facility and campus
- Prepare and monitor program budgets and department expenditures
- Provide communications, information, and resources to the community
- Work directly with communication's team to develop marketing materials for program promotion
- Collaborate with external organizations and contractors to offer presentations and services benefiting the community
- Modify and grow service offerings through outreach with diverse populations
- Coordinate with Youth Services Division Specialists to deliver comprehensive program portfolios
- Partner with Intervention and Outreach Specialists to maintain a positive, safe environment at the Recreation and Teen Centers
- Supervise planning, directing, and implementing facility events and activities
- Coordinate facility and maintenance needs with maintenance and facility management staff
- Identify and resolve customer problems and complaints within policy guidelines
- Identify risks in advance and take steps to reduce liability and ensure participant safety
- Facilitate work group meetings to improve department productivity and efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned
