Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or two years of college in a recreation study field
- Three years professional, verifiable experience in recreation program/s and supervision of subordinate staff, activities, and programs for various age groups
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License, with a good driving record
- Must obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire date
- Knowledge of Logic Pro 10 for positions assigned to 505 Teen Center Recording Studio
- Must complete a 45-hour Childcare Certification Program approved by the State of Florida within one year of hire for out of school positions
- Ability to pass scheduled physical exams in compliance with Florida Department of Health for out of school positions
- Child Development Accreditation preferred
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Teaches, supervises, organizes, and instructs a variety of recreation activities and sports for youth, teens, adults in a recreation setting
- Trains, schedules and supervises designated staff and volunteers
- Assists with a variety of special events, recreation programs and sporting events
- Provides guidance on work related matters and assists to resolve employee issues, if necessary
- Coordinates and promotes special events, advertising, and vendor coordination
- Promotes interest in programs through publicity, flyers and social media
- Ensures that recreation facilities and equipment are used properly
