Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Minimum four years experience in event programming or related field
  • Minimum two years supervisory experience in special events, fundraising, or non-profit administration
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License
  • CPR/First Aid certification within three months of hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Skilled in problem-solving and emergency response
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience with budgeting and contract management

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in recreation, tourism, development, public relations, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience in special events, fundraising, or non-profit administration
  • Minimum of four years experience in event programming or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in event and project management, contract management, fundraising, and community relations
  • Ability to supervise, organize, direct, and evaluate employees
  • Excellent public engagement and communication skills
  • Skilled at problem-solving and working under pressure
  • Experience using MS Office 365 and quick to learn other online platforms
  • Ability to develop clear written instructions, diagrams, SOPs, and schedules
  • Basic knowledge of Safety Data Sheets and their locations
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License
  • CPR/First Aid certification within three months of employment

Job Duties

  • Plan, develop, organize, supervise, and evaluate community events and cultural arts initiatives
  • Lead the design and on-site management of events including logistics, vendor coordination, volunteer activation, sponsorship fulfillment, and safety operations
  • Develop innovative engagement strategies such as outreach events and neighborhood activations
  • Coordinate event permitting, site plans, safety plans, vendor agreements, performers, equipment needs, and operational logistics
  • Build and maintain partnerships with civic groups, nonprofits, arts organizations, schools, businesses, and other community stakeholders
  • Seek and prepare grant proposals, acquire community sponsorships, and research revenue-generating strategies
  • Represent the Town at public meetings, outreach events, and community forums
  • Ensure Town facilities, event spaces, parks, and equipment are prepared and safe for events
  • Coordinate with other Town departments for operational support and safety compliance
  • Prepare and monitor budgets for events and engagement programs
  • Supervise staff including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and corrective action as needed
