Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one year experience demonstrating knowledge of youth sports program operations
  • two years clerical experience including typing, filing and record keeping
  • proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • ability to plan and execute youth sports events
  • ability to maintain effective working relationships
  • physical ability to lift and carry up to 45lbs independently and over 45lbs with assistance
  • valid U.S. driver’s license
  • ability to obtain and maintain required background checks and certifications including CPR and First Aid
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • compliance with safety and EEO policies
  • ability to obtain National Youth Sports Coaches training and maintain certification

Job Qualifications

  • one year experience in youth sports program operations
  • two years experience in clerical duties such as typing, filing and record keeping
  • proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to plan, organize and execute youth sports leagues and events
  • ability to maintain effective working relationships at all organizational levels
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and over 45lbs with assistance
  • valid U.S. driver’s license
  • ability to obtain National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check

Job Duties

  • assist youth sports supervisor in planning, organizing, coordinating and directing youth sports programs
  • recruit, train and supervise volunteers for youth sports programs
  • ensure volunteer coaches complete required background checks
  • monitor coaches' compliance with National Youth Sports Coaches policies
  • conduct clinics and seminars for training athletes, coaches and officials
  • manage administrative, logistical, marketing, fiscal and venue planning for events
  • ensure playing facilities are reserved, maintained, safe and comply with sport regulations
  • adhere to safety standards and report hazards or injuries
  • provide world-class customer service with an emphasis on courtesy
  • assist in budget preparation and financial reporting
  • make authorized purchases using NAF purchasing credit card
  • conduct inventories of uniforms, equipment and supplies
  • maintain security of funds, merchandise, supplies and equipment
  • serve as liaison with military services and local community
  • work all shifts including nights and weekends indoors and outdoors
  • obtain and maintain required certifications such as CPR, First Aid and National Youth Sports Coaches clinic training
