Job Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid Certification within three months
- Must complete National Youth Sports Coaches clinic-training program and maintain instructor status
- May require Contracting Officers Representative certification
- Must obtain and maintain National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository (CNACI) background check
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift and carry sports equipment and supplies
- Must adhere to safety regulations and workplace standards
- Must comply with EEO and anti-harassment policies
- Direct deposit of net pay mandatory
- Must submit necessary education and certification documents
- Drug-free workplace adherence
- May require additional clearance if working with firearms or ammunition
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in youth sports program operations
- Minimum of two years experience in clerical duties such as typing, filing and record keeping
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and internet navigation
- Experience with sports league website development and online registration platforms preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to plan, organize and execute youth sports leagues and events
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships at all levels
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Physical ability to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and heavier with assistance
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
Job Duties
- Assist Youth Sports Supervisor in planning, organizing, coordinating and directing youth sports programs
- Recruit, train and supervise volunteer coaches ensuring compliance with background checks and NYSC policies
- Conduct clinics and seminars for athletes, coaches and officials
- Manage administrative, logistical, marketing, ORM, fiscal, and venue planning components for sports programs
- Ensure playing facilities are reserved, maintained, safe and prepared according to sport regulations
- Adhere to safety regulations and report hazards or incidents promptly
- Assist with financial responsibilities including budgeting, purchase orders, equipment inventory and securing assets
- Serve as liaison with other military services, organizations, and community
- Perform other related duties as assigned
