Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience in youth sports program operations
  • Minimum two years clerical experience including typing, filing and record keeping
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to plan and execute youth sports programs and events
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift and carry 45 lbs independently and heavier loads with assistance
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CNACI background checks
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, indoors and outdoors
  • Must obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within three months
  • Must complete National Youth Sports Coaches clinic training
  • May require Contracting Officers Representative certification

Job Qualifications

  • One year experience in youth sports program operations
  • Two years experience in clerical duties such as typing, filing and record keeping
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive
  • Experience with sports league website application development and online registration platforms preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to plan, organize and execute youth sports leagues and events
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships across all organizational levels
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently and over 45 lbs with assistance
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CNACI background checks

Job Duties

  • Assist Youth Sports Supervisor in planning, organizing, coordinating and directing youth sports programs
  • Recruit, train and supervise volunteers and coaches
  • Ensure compliance with background checks and NYSC policies
  • Conduct clinics and seminars for athletes, coaches, and officials
  • Manage administrative, logistical, marketing and fiscal aspects of programs and events
  • Ensure facilities are prepared, safe and maintained according to sport regulations
  • Promote and adhere to safety protocols and report workplace hazards
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitor cost centers
  • Manage purchasing and inventory of equipment, supplies and uniforms
  • Serve as liaison with military services, organizations and local community
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned
