Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in parks and recreation or a similar role
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Possession of a valid Class C California driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to use a personal vehicle for commuting between work sites if necessary

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in parks and recreation or a similar role
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow directions
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially in emergency situations
  • Possess a valid Class C California driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • College coursework in parks management, recreation, or related field is a plus

Job Duties

  • Open and close park gates, restrooms, and facilities on time
  • Inspect park amenities such as playgrounds, restrooms, and equipment for safety and cleanliness
  • Perform routine maintenance including trash removal and cleaning
  • Enforce park rules and ensure the safety and well-being of park patrons
  • Respond to emergencies and address concerns professionally and decisively
  • Interact with the public, providing excellent customer service and promoting a positive atmosphere
  • Drive a City vehicle between park sites as needed
