Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in parks and recreation or a similar role
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications
- Possession of a valid Class C California driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to use a personal vehicle for commuting between work sites if necessary
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in parks and recreation or a similar role
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow directions
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially in emergency situations
- Possess a valid Class C California driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- College coursework in parks management, recreation, or related field is a plus
Job Duties
- Open and close park gates, restrooms, and facilities on time
- Inspect park amenities such as playgrounds, restrooms, and equipment for safety and cleanliness
- Perform routine maintenance including trash removal and cleaning
- Enforce park rules and ensure the safety and well-being of park patrons
- Respond to emergencies and address concerns professionally and decisively
- Interact with the public, providing excellent customer service and promoting a positive atmosphere
- Drive a City vehicle between park sites as needed
