Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of two years' experience in special events planning or related field
- adult and pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED certification required within 3 months of hire
- certified Parks and Recreation Professional preferred
- crowd management certification preferred
- valid Florida driver's license
- ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on event needs

- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- experience in project management and event logistics
- ability to train and supervise staff and volunteers
- proficiency with computer applications
- ability to prepare data reports
- ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- valid Florida driver's license
Job Duties
- Assist in the creation of an annual event calendar and obtain approval
- oversee logistics related to assigned events including supervision of vendors and contractors
- prepare and finalize contracts and use agreements
- coordinate facilities, labor, equipment, and materials for event setup and breakdown
- solicit financial sponsorships and in-kind donations
- manage and maintain event budgets and prepare reports
- assist with marketing materials, press releases, and event communications
- manage the volunteer program including recruitment, training, and record-keeping
- train and supervise special events staff and volunteers
- serve as onsite manager in the absence of the Events Coordinator
- perform other related duties as assigned
