Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work up to 900 hours within six months
  • Availability to work weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with some evening and weekend hours
  • Skilled in using recreation software systems
  • Experience in community recreation program coordination
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Capacity to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Physical ability for prolonged sitting, standing, walking and outdoor work
  • Excellent hearing and vision for administrative tasks
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse community groups

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in recreation, public administration, marketing, or related field
  • Experience with recreation software systems
  • Strong program coordination and event management skills
  • Proficiency in content creation and public outreach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to plan and analyze program needs based on trends and demographics
  • Experience in budget preparation and financial monitoring

Job Duties

  • Plans, coordinates, monitors, leads and directs recreation programs and facilities
  • Designs and implements customer feedback systems
  • Prepares and monitors budgets and financial reports
  • Supports marketing promotions including brochure, flyer and social media creation
  • Acts as liaison to community organizations and commissions
  • Coordinates purchases, installations and service contracts
  • Schedules, trains, recruits, evaluates and directs staff and volunteers
