Job Requirements

  • must have a bachelor’s degree in recreation administration, leisure management or related field
  • must have at least two (2) years of experience in the field of recreation and facility operations, event coordination, or equivalent experience
  • must have a minimum of one (1) year of supervisor or lead experience

Job Duties

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations and rentals at The Lodge at Ironwoods and Amphitheater
  • promoting the City’s rental space options for public use
  • assisting with rentals and day-to-day operations at other City facilities
  • coordinating the Recreation Department’s special events
  • hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating assigned recreational staff
  • assisting the department in the development, implementation, and evaluation of department programs, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • keeping abreast of changes to state and national event management standards, products, and techniques through publications, seminars/workshops, conferences, and professional associations
