Job Requirements
- Must be 16 years or older
- current CPR certification
- current lifeguard certification or willing to obtain before start date
- able to swim and physically fit
- able to pass a background check
- able to follow written and verbal instructions
- able to pass a pre-employment physical skills evaluation
- reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- CPR/AED certified
- current lifeguard certification by a recognized training source or plans to obtain prior to start date
- ability to swim and be physically fit
- ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- knowledge of CPR and first aid emergency procedures
- customer service skills
- ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
Job Duties
- Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility
- act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in emergencies
- provide emergency care and treatment until the arrival of emergency medical services
- present professional appearance and attitude while maintaining high standards of customer service
- perform various maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe environment
- prepare and maintain appropriate activity reports
- assist with swim lessons, concessions, and community events as assigned
