Job Requirements

  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to regularly lift and move objects up to 50 lbs
  • Availability to work 32 hours per week including afternoons, late evenings, and weekends
  • Possession of a valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Temporary full-time employment through September 2026
  • Eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in setting up events and leading on-site activities
  • Ability to instruct and supervise volunteers and seasonal staff
  • Ability to enforce rules and policies
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with diverse populations
  • Proficiency in audiovisual technology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of emergency action procedures

Job Duties

  • Collaborate closely with Event Producers to implement outdoor cultural events across Portland
  • Provide leadership during the implementation of emergency action plans
  • Set up events and lead on-site activities across multiple program areas
  • Instruct and oversee volunteers and seasonal staff to ensure smooth event execution
  • Enforce rules, policies, and procedures to maintain safety and inclusiveness
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Operate audiovisual technology including sound systems and soundboards
