Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of experience in recreation programming, special events, event operations, or related field
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet city driving standards
  • Proficiency with computers and event management software
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in recreation, hospitality, event management, or related field preferred
  • Three or more years of experience in recreation programming, special events, event operations, or related field
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to resolve complex complaints and participant conflicts
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with proven problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Proficiency with computers and event management tools or software

Job Duties

  • Attend assigned signature and community events and supervise setup and teardown
  • Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating a variety of events
  • Attend meetings as assigned
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and sponsors by providing excellent customer service
  • Train, engage, correct, and deploy event day staff and volunteers
  • Communicate to Festival & Events Coordinator regarding incidents, decisions and issues pertaining to events
  • Complete and file accident and statistical reports regarding incidents and issues pertaining to programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
