Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in recreational programming or event coordination
  • Valid driver's license
  • Availability to work nights and weekends
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication and customer service abilities

Job Duties

  • Set up and organize large community events and athletic activities
  • Lead and manage community gatherings at John Hunt Park and city-wide locations
  • Monitor safety and conduct supervision at Kids' Space Playground, Get-A-Way Skatepark, and other park areas
  • Maintain order and discipline among patrons with tact and professionalism
  • Coordinate with team members and city officials to ensure smooth event operations
  • Engage with the public to promote positive recreational experiences
  • Assist in the development and implementation of ongoing citywide recreational programs
