Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one to two years of experience in customer service or recreation setting
- valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver’s license
- ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to follow safety protocols
- availability for part-time hours
- willingness to attend mandatory trainings
- ability to handle disciplinary situations
- physical capability to perform job tasks
- ability to work well with children and adults
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one to two years of experience in customer service or recreation settings involving direct contact with adults and children
- valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- ability to communicate effectively
- experience working with diverse age groups
- knowledge of safety and health policies
- ability to work as part of a team
- good organizational skills
Job Duties
- Responsible for the safety of all program participants
- applies disciplinary actions in accordance with program guidelines
- set up and break down of equipment needed for program operations
- completes paperwork including incident and accident reports
- attends all mandatory county or state trainings
- supervises program participants during activities
- ensures all utilized areas are left clean and free of clutter
- provides assistance at other department activities or programs
- observes all safety and health policies and performs work tasks safely
- performs other assigned duties
