Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one to two years of experience in customer service or recreation setting
  • valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver’s license
  • ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to follow safety protocols
  • availability for part-time hours
  • willingness to attend mandatory trainings
  • ability to handle disciplinary situations
  • physical capability to perform job tasks
  • ability to work well with children and adults

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one to two years of experience in customer service or recreation settings involving direct contact with adults and children
  • valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • experience working with diverse age groups
  • knowledge of safety and health policies
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • good organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the safety of all program participants
  • applies disciplinary actions in accordance with program guidelines
  • set up and break down of equipment needed for program operations
  • completes paperwork including incident and accident reports
  • attends all mandatory county or state trainings
  • supervises program participants during activities
  • ensures all utilized areas are left clean and free of clutter
  • provides assistance at other department activities or programs
  • observes all safety and health policies and performs work tasks safely
  • performs other assigned duties
