Job Description

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
One year of experience implementing recreation programs or events
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing
Ability to work in various weather conditions
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
Must be able to provide excellent customer service
Ability to follow facility rules and regulations
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
One year of experience implementing recreation programs or events
Ability to perform moderately physically demanding work
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work under general supervision
Basic administrative skills
Familiarity with safety procedures and emergency response
Willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

Provide assistance to customers inquiring about or using the city's facilities
Monitor facility rentals, classes, and programs including youth and teen programs, senior activities, and special city events
Perform routine custodial duties such as sweeping, washing windows, restocking restrooms, removing waste materials, and spot mopping
Provide direction and assistance in resolving rental issues, facility or classroom problems, and emergency situations
Monitor facilities during scheduled rental periods and classes to ensure compliance with rules and regulations
Open, close, secure, and maintain a safe program environment at city facilities
Set up tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies for programs or activities
Complete inventory of necessary program supplies and complete facility cleaning checklists during assigned shifts
Answer program-related questions and provide exceptional customer service
