Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience implementing recreation programs or events
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
  • Must be able to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to follow facility rules and regulations
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience implementing recreation programs or events
  • Ability to perform moderately physically demanding work
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work under general supervision
  • Basic administrative skills
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and emergency response
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Provide assistance to customers inquiring about or using the city's facilities
  • Monitor facility rentals, classes, and programs including youth and teen programs, senior activities, and special city events
  • Perform routine custodial duties such as sweeping, washing windows, restocking restrooms, removing waste materials, and spot mopping
  • Provide direction and assistance in resolving rental issues, facility or classroom problems, and emergency situations
  • Monitor facilities during scheduled rental periods and classes to ensure compliance with rules and regulations
  • Open, close, secure, and maintain a safe program environment at city facilities
  • Set up tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies for programs or activities
  • Complete inventory of necessary program supplies and complete facility cleaning checklists during assigned shifts
  • Answer program-related questions and provide exceptional customer service
