Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in parks and recreation or related field preferred
  • Minimum two years experience in facility programming or recreation management
  • Valid driver's license
  • Current CPR/AED certification or obtain within six months of hire
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively
  • Ability to supervise staff and schedules
  • Ability to respond to emergencies
  • Physical ability to perform light work including walking, standing, and lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation or related field preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience in facility programming, recreation management or related field
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within six months
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to supervise staff and manage programs effectively
  • Knowledge of facility safety and maintenance protocols
  • Proficiency with computer software related to facility management
  • Ability to respond promptly to emergencies
  • Customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Communicate effectively in spoken and written English to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Supervise daily operation of the facility with expertise in a specialty area such as athletics or aquatics
  • Oversee staffing needs, make schedules and assignments, monitor performance and effectiveness
  • Interact with patrons to provide positive customer experiences and accurate activity information
  • Deliver specialized services and lead or participate in program success
  • Monitor facility and participants for safety, maintenance, and program needs
  • Enforce rules and procedures for safety and welfare of staff and participants
  • Operate computer systems for facility management including processing registrations and admissions
  • Assist in budget preparation and ordering supplies
  • Respond to emergencies including administering CPR and using AED
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle for operational tasks
  • Work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
