Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must obtain First Aid, CPR and Universal Precautions/Bloodborne Pathogens certifications within 60 days
  • Previous related work experience highly desired
  • Proficient with computers and software
  • Must demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to remain calm and professional
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to instruct and coach children
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Must be able to use independent judgment in emergencies

Job Qualifications

  • High School graduate or GED
  • Minimum age of 18 years at time of hire
  • Previous experience working with the public or in related areas preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain First Aid, CPR, and Universal Precautions/Bloodborne Pathogens certifications within 60 days of hire
  • Proficient in computer use
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal, and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Provide on-site presence for Mobile Recreation Trailer rentals and community events
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation, implementation, and cleanup of safe, age-appropriate recreational activities
  • Provide clear instructions and demonstrate game rules to participants
  • Lead youth and family activities with quality leadership
  • Operate city vehicles and trailers safely
  • Maintain inventory and regularly inspect equipment to ensure safety
  • Communicate maintenance needs and coordinate repairs or replacements
  • Assist in promoting events and recreation programs via social media and newsletters
  • Update webpages related to events and recreation offerings
  • Support execution of activities during community events
  • Assist with day-of event setup and teardown
  • Respond promptly and professionally to issues or concerns
  • Assist with training and scheduling seasonal staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned
