Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must obtain First Aid, CPR and Universal Precautions/Bloodborne Pathogens certifications within 60 days
- Previous related work experience highly desired
- Proficient with computers and software
- Must demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to remain calm and professional
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to instruct and coach children
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Good time management skills
- Must be able to use independent judgment in emergencies
Job Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED
- Minimum age of 18 years at time of hire
- Previous experience working with the public or in related areas preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain First Aid, CPR, and Universal Precautions/Bloodborne Pathogens certifications within 60 days of hire
- Proficient in computer use
- Strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal, and customer service skills

Job Duties
- Provide on-site presence for Mobile Recreation Trailer rentals and community events
- Oversee and participate in the preparation, implementation, and cleanup of safe, age-appropriate recreational activities
- Provide clear instructions and demonstrate game rules to participants
- Lead youth and family activities with quality leadership
- Operate city vehicles and trailers safely
- Maintain inventory and regularly inspect equipment to ensure safety
- Communicate maintenance needs and coordinate repairs or replacements
- Assist in promoting events and recreation programs via social media and newsletters
- Update webpages related to events and recreation offerings
- Support execution of activities during community events
- Assist with day-of event setup and teardown
- Respond promptly and professionally to issues or concerns
- Assist with training and scheduling seasonal staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
