Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in recreation or community services
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • valid California driver’s license
  • good interpersonal skills
  • ability to handle cash and financial transactions
  • capacity to communicate clearly and effectively
  • physical capability to perform all job duties
  • willingness to work in diverse environments

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in recreation program coordination or related field
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to train and supervise staff and volunteers
  • proficiency in program marketing and public relations
  • knowledge of community engagement strategies
  • ability to work both indoors and outdoors
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Plan, promote, oversee, organize, market, assess and coordinate recreational programs
  • train, schedule and direct the work of part-time employees and volunteers
  • assist with the development of program goals and objectives
  • coordinate registration process and organize teams or groups
  • coordinate supply orders and event logistics
  • communicate effectively with parents, participants and facility users
  • maintain logs, documents and prepare reports
