Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • CPR and First Aid certification within six months of hire
  • Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Pass federal/national criminal background and credit checks
  • Physical ability to accomplish job tasks including outdoor work
  • Pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and functional assessment
  • Ability to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Obtain Facility Manager Food Handlers certification within six months if assigned to hospitality

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Knowledge of recreational programs, sports, and leisure activities
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Skilled in customer service and public interaction
  • Ability to drive a 15 passenger van or bus
  • CPR and First Aid certification within six months of hire
  • Facility Manager Food Handlers certification for hospitality assignments

Job Duties

  • Assist in planning, promotion, development and supervision of recreational programs and activities
  • Inform the community of recreational opportunities through advertising and promotions
  • Coordinate with city departments, community organizations, vendors and volunteers regarding facility scheduling
  • Direct, train, schedule and evaluate part-time, casual and temporary staff
  • Provide quality customer service including participant registration and complaint resolution
  • Prepare daily financial reports and manage deposits
  • Maintain and recommend supply and equipment needs
