Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in recreation or related field
  • three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to maintain a valid arizona driver license
  • certification in community infant, child, adult cpr, and first aid within six months of hire
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work in a high-volume organized program environment
  • passion for aquatics and staff development

Job Duties

  • lead and expand swim lesson programs and water safety initiatives
  • develop and coordinate citywide aquatic programs
  • prepare and coordinate master schedules
  • recruit, train, and supervise part-time staff and volunteers
  • manage program budgets and compile reports
  • oversee aquatic facility operations and ensure safety compliance
  • provide quality customer service
