Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in recreation or a related field
  • three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • valid arizona driver license at time of hire
  • certification in community infant, child, adult cpr, and first aid within six months of hire
  • ability to pass a background check including criminal background, drug screen, fingerprinting, and motor vehicle records check
  • capability to work in a high-volume, organized program environment
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • willingness to collaborate with team members and community stakeholders

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree in recreation or a related field
  • experience in aquatics program management
  • certification in community infant, child, adult cpr, and first aid within six months of hire
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • ability to train and supervise staff
  • knowledge of water safety principles
  • commitment to community engagement and customer service

Job Duties

  • develop and coordinate swim lesson programs and water safety initiatives
  • promote water safety education within the community
  • prepare and coordinate master schedules for aquatic programs
  • recruit, train, and supervise part-time staff and volunteers
  • maintain program budgets and compile reports
  • oversee facility operations related to aquatic programs
  • ensure quality customer service and program evaluation
