Job Requirements

  • Two years post-high school education in Physical Education, Leisure Studies, Recreation, or related field or two years experience in recreation programming or event coordination
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners
  • Detail-oriented with initiative and a positive, outgoing approach

Job Qualifications

  • Two years post-high school education in Physical Education, Leisure Studies, Recreation, or related field or two years experience in recreation programming or event coordination
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners
  • Detail-oriented with initiative and a positive, outgoing approach
  • Valid Indiana Driver's License if operating City vehicle
  • First Aid and CPR certification within two weeks of hire provided by City
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams
  • Ability to manage schedules, spreadsheets, participant tracking, and event documentation

Job Duties

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all Senior Games events, venues, and logistics
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers and event coordinators
  • Prepare equipment, supplies, registration materials, and participant records
  • Track attendance, scores, and results and compile final reports and evaluations
  • Coordinate marketing materials, ceremonies, awards, and participant communications
