Job Requirements
- Possess a High School diploma or GED
- Education and/or experience in event coordination, hospitality, recreation, facility management, or a closely related field preferred
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Successfully pass a criminal background check including convictions, guilty pleas, or no contest pleas to violent offenses, theft offenses, offenses against children, and other disqualifying offenses under Arkansas law
- Evening and weekend program/event supervision is expected and required
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of computers and related software programs
- Ability to effectively operate standard office equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Routinely exposed to outside weather conditions
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assist in the approval and coordination of special events by providing logistical support before, during, and after events
- Serve as a liaison for external event organizers to ensure adherence to park policies and procedures
- Monitor events to ensure compliance with City regulations, safety protocols, and event agreements
- Ensure compliance with City policies and applicable laws, particularly those related to special events
- Generate and send invoices and manage the collection of payments for special events, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Coordinate with Park Operations regarding event schedules, event setup, and facility preparation
- Address event-related issues or concerns promptly and escalate them to appropriate staff if necessary
- Research policies, procedures, and benchmarking fee structures to support event planning and operations and make recommendations
- Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills in situations involving enforcement of park rules, inclement weather, emergency response, and risk management
- Provide support by assisting with general inquiries and directing visitors to appropriate staff members
- Help customers with inquiries, applications, registration, reservations, and other needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
