Job Requirements

  • 6 months of general experience
  • 6 months of specialized experience
  • ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • males must be registered or exempt from selective service
  • social security card required
  • suitability for federal employment
  • successful completion of employment verification (E-VERIFY)
  • favorable background check
  • participation in direct deposit pay program
  • ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • must meet education and experience combination requirements
  • completion of probationary period if required

Job Qualifications

  • specialized experience in organizing planning administrating and conducting facility operations
  • knowledge of state and federal guidelines concerning marina operations
  • understanding of daily facility operations to assist patrons effectively
  • familiarity with group activities and recreational program routines
  • expertise in recreational activities equipment rules and procedures
  • proficiency in boating terminology operation maintenance and safety
  • ability to operate motor vehicles
  • capability to follow instructions and recommend solutions
  • strong customer service skills and independent working ability
  • experience with office automation tools including word processing and spreadsheets
  • effective oral and written communication capability
  • at least 6 months of general and specialized experience

Job Duties

  • perform a variety of duties in support of morale welfare and recreation special events
  • manage information and resources related to recreation programs
  • assist with command events and fleet support activities
  • coordinate community events, trips, tours, and outings
  • manage party and picnic rental equipment and resale tickets
  • support auto skills, liberty, leisure skill classes, outdoor recreation, and other similar MWR recreational services
  • operate office machines including cash registers and computers
  • provide excellent customer service and make sound decisions independently
