Job Requirements
- 6 months or more of general experience and 6 months or more of specialized experience
- knowledge of facility operations and marina management
- ability to operate motor vehicle
- ability to follow instructions and work independently
- successful completion of an occupational questionnaire
- males must be registered or exempt from Selective Service
- selectee must be suitable for federal employment
- selectee may be required to complete a probationary period
- participation in direct deposit pay program
- social security card required
- employment verification (E-VERIFY) check
- must comply with REAL ID or passport requirements for government facility access
- satisfactory background check
- transcripts must be included if qualifying based on education
Job Qualifications
- 6 months or more of general experience and 6 months or more of specialized experience
- knowledge of goals, philosophy, principles, and methods used in facility operations
- understanding of State and Federal Guidelines concerning Marina Operations
- familiarity with daily facility operations and routines for group activities
- knowledge of recreational activities, equipment, rules, and procedures
- understanding of boating terminology, watercraft operation, and safety
- ability to operate motor vehicles
- ability to follow instructions and recommend solutions
- ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service
- proficiency with office machines including cash registers and computers
- ability to operate personal computer and perform basic word processing and spreadsheet tasks
- strong oral and written communication skills
Job Duties
- perform duties in support of MWR including special events
- provide recreation information and resources
- coordinate command and community events
- support visiting ships and fleet operations
- manage party and picnic rental equipment
- oversee recreational green space and outdoor recreation
- assist with boating and marina operations
