Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 16 years at time of hire
  • American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED certification at time of hire and throughout employment
  • Ability to perform medium physical work including walking, running, and managing equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work irregular schedules including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic math skills for cash handling
  • Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations
  • Willingness to work in outdoor and indoor environments with varying temperature and weather conditions
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Minimum age requirement is 16 years old at time of hire
  • American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED certification is required at time of hire and maintained throughout employment
  • Knowledge of recreation program services, operations, and activities
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to provide high level of customer service
  • Basic math skills to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Strong communication skills in English both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact respectfully with the public and coworkers

Job Duties

  • Accepts and records admission fees and concession fees accurately using a cash register or other means of revenue tracking
  • Greets all customers either in person or via telephone in a timely and professional manner
  • Makes information on departmental programs available to customers upon request
  • Serves food for swimming pool patrons in accordance with the Town of Trophy Club and County Health codes
  • Assists with maintaining the Aquatic facility and surrounding area
  • Assists with pool party reservations as needed
  • Prepares bank deposits and departmental records and reports
  • Enforces pool entrance requirements
  • Keeps Pool Manager notified of any customer safety concerns
  • Performs safety procedures including the emergency action plan for the facility
