Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 years at time of hire
- American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED certification at time of hire and throughout employment
- Ability to perform medium physical work including walking, running, and managing equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work irregular schedules including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations
- Willingness to work in outdoor and indoor environments with varying temperature and weather conditions
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Minimum age requirement is 16 years old at time of hire
- American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED certification is required at time of hire and maintained throughout employment
- Knowledge of recreation program services, operations, and activities
- Familiarity with relevant laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ability to provide high level of customer service
- Basic math skills to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills in English both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact respectfully with the public and coworkers
Job Duties
- Accepts and records admission fees and concession fees accurately using a cash register or other means of revenue tracking
- Greets all customers either in person or via telephone in a timely and professional manner
- Makes information on departmental programs available to customers upon request
- Serves food for swimming pool patrons in accordance with the Town of Trophy Club and County Health codes
- Assists with maintaining the Aquatic facility and surrounding area
- Assists with pool party reservations as needed
- Prepares bank deposits and departmental records and reports
- Enforces pool entrance requirements
- Keeps Pool Manager notified of any customer safety concerns
- Performs safety procedures including the emergency action plan for the facility
