Job Requirements
- Ability to provide customer service in community recreation settings
- Skilled in keyboarding and point of sale system operation
- Ability to complete basic computer tasks and arithmetic calculations
- Ability to read and understand published rules and standard operating procedures
- Capability to perform basic custodial duties
- Strong communication skills both orally and in writing
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level
- Must be registered or exempt from Selective Service if applicable
- Must be suitable for federal employment
- May need to complete a probationary period
- Required to participate in direct deposit pay program
- Must provide Social Security Card
- Must successfully complete E-VERIFY employment verification
- Must maintain a favorable background check
Job Qualifications
- One year of specialized experience related to community recreation customer service
- Knowledge of the MWR department and its activities
- Skilled in keyboarding and operating point of sale systems
- Ability to perform basic computer operations and arithmetic calculations
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend rules, regulations, and procedures
- Experience with customer needs assessment and service delivery
Job Duties
- Provide customer service in support of the Recreation Program
- Operate point of sale systems and desktop computers
- Assist with Morale, Welfare, and Recreation special events and command events
- Manage party and picnic rental equipment and resale tickets
- Support recreational activities including leisure skill classes, sports, and fitness programs
- Perform basic custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and dusting
- Identify customer needs and resolve routine issues effectively
