Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Successful completion of post-offer physical exam
- 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis
- Acceptable criminal background clearances and excluded party sanctions
- Degree or license verification
- Valid driver license, motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance if driving is required
- Maintain current certifications throughout employment
Job Qualifications
- BA/BS in behavioral sciences field with two years inpatient experience or high school diploma with one year as Lead Recovery Specialist II and three years inpatient experience or high school diploma with at least four years experience in behavioral health with two years inpatient experience
- CPR certified
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certified
- First Aid certified
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify and respond to risk of violence and suicide
- Ability to lead teams and facilitate groups
- Strong decision-making skills including risk recognition and action
- Expertise in de-escalation techniques
Job Duties
- Supervise staff by providing timely feedback, coaching, and performance reviews
- Partner with Clinical Director, Director of Nursing or Program Administrator to create and deliver trainings
- Participate in the hiring process and onboarding of new team members
- Ensure team members meet required core competencies and complete tasks
- Develop and provide leadership for program groups
- Document client activities, admissions, and discharges
- Review and implement client treatment plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning
- Demonstrate knowledge of Crisis Prevention Institute techniques
- Provide individual and group skill building
- Assist with hygienic care and client monitoring, including rounds and seclusion supervision
- Ensure completion of required documentation
- Assist in client outings, which may include driving
