Job Requirements
- High school graduate
- one year experience in a physician's office or hospital/medical environment
- basic computer and typing skills
- excellent interpersonal and organizational skills demonstrated by professional recommendation
- reads, writes, speaks and comprehends the English language
- willing and able to become proficient in navigating the hospital's Electronic Medical Record

- one year experience in a physician's office or hospital/medical environment

- demonstrates excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as evidenced by professional recommendation
- reads, writes, speaks and comprehends the English language
- willingness and ability to become proficient navigating the hospital's Electronic Medical Record
- basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology preferred
Job Duties
- Greets patients and visitors
- informs staff when patient arrives for scheduled appointment
- answers questions, provides information and provides directions to patients, visitors and colleagues
- answers phone, manages caller needs, takes and relays messages
- recognizes priorities and communicates in a timely manner
- check and manage voicemails
- directs calls to appropriate resources
- inform staff of patient's disposition or cancellation status
- seek out information as requested by staff to facilitate patient management
- ordering office supplies
- assemble new patient charts
- ensure essential documents are available for first appointment
- ensure front desk has necessary supplies/printers are properly stocked
- attend staff meetings
- facilitate completion of sign-in sheet
- file staff meeting documents
- collect co-payments
- print daily outpatient schedule
- disposition outpatients in the Electronic Medical Record
- document patient intake/referral details on appropriate form
- schedule/re-schedule outpatients as appropriate
