Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • prior experience in administrative or secretarial roles
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • effective written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • familiarity with conventional office equipment
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently

Job Qualifications

  • demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Window based computer software
  • be familiar with basic computer programs to include Microsoft Office Suite
  • accurate spelling, typing and attention to detail
  • ability to compile and organize reports
  • experience working in a government or law enforcement environment is desirable
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • provide clear, concise, and effective responses to routine inquiries and answering questions on basic knowledge of the FPS program from office guests as well as phone inquiries including the ability to immediately respond to potential threats
  • prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the Investigations Branch Chief
  • draft, review, and edit multiple documents for the Investigations Branch personnel for distribution to executive staff, Region or upper management at headquarters
  • assist with tracking and reports for the Threat Assessment Report (TAR) Program status to Investigations Branch Chief and senior leadership weekly
  • create On-call Agent Duty Roster to Denver MegaCenter
  • track and report monthly Vehicle Operating Reports and mileage reporting to the region
  • prepare, label and track the shipping of all outgoing packages
  • receive and distribute all incoming mail and packages in accordance with established policy
  • assist FPS with the planning and execution of special events supported and recognized by the Federal Government such as Combined Federal Campaign, Feds Feed Families Campaign, retirement ceremonies, and awards ceremonies
  • perform miscellaneous duties such as making travel plans, assisting government employees in preparation of travel authorizations and expense reports, maintaining time and attendance reports, making copies, and arranging for conference rooms
  • complete any other special assignments as they relate to administrative and clerical support of FPS mission and programs
