Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum six months of work experience in customer service or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
  • Adequate vehicle insurance
  • Ability to travel within the state of Wisconsin
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to speak clearly and courteously
  • Bilingual abilities preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by post-secondary education or related training in social services
  • Minimum six months of work experience in customer service or related industry
  • Knowledge of corporate office protocol and customer service practices
  • Bilingual Spanish/English or Rohingya, Burmese, or Arabic preferred
  • Ability to speak clearly, pleasantly, and courteously with good listening and comprehension skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to retain and communicate program facts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
  • Reliable transportation and valid Wisconsin driver’s license
  • Adequate vehicle insurance and ability to travel within Wisconsin

Job Duties

  • Answer multi-line phone system and relay calls to appropriate parties
  • Schedule appointments for program applicants and participants
  • Update and organize program documents and outreach materials including confidential files
  • Translate documents as needed
  • Assess clients' immediate needs and direct applicants to relevant services and programs
  • Assist in preparation of staff meetings, outreach events, and other related meetings
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence including faxes and emails
  • Receive visitors and program participants in a customer-oriented manner and provide program information
  • Maintain supplies and inventory by checking stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt
  • Assist in coordination of planned activities, workshops, conferences, travel, and venue arrangements
  • Provide technical assistance, training, and support to new staff
  • Attend meetings, conferences, workshops, and perform special projects as assigned
