Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • one year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience
  • ability to operate office equipment
  • typing speed of 45 wpm
  • knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • good communication skills
  • bilingual preferred

Job Duties

  • Admit patients and process their paperwork
  • update patient demographics and information in the system
  • collect monies due and document in the billing system
  • handle funds per office procedure
  • answer incoming phone calls
  • operate office equipment required for job duties
  • communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff
