Job Requirements
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months experience working in customer service or administrative capacity
- Familiarity with MS Office including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and telephone skills
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Must be Ahtna Shareholder or spouse or descendant as per shareholder preference policy
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months experience in customer service or administrative position
- Familiarity with MS Office software including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Professional telephone skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to maintain directories, lists, and manuals efficiently
- Business attire professionalism
- Ability to pass background check and drug test
- Knowledge of Alaska Native cultures preferred
- Prior experience working with Alaska Native community is a plus but not mandatory
Job Duties
- Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of callers, and transfer calls to appropriate personnel or department
- Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, announce visitors to appropriate staff members, direct them to sign-in and assign visitor badge
- Provide general information in response to inquiries about Ahtna, its mission, activities or personnel
- Organize and maintain reception area to present a neat and efficient appearance, ensure marketing materials and informational literature are current and available
- Sort, log and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Deliver time sensitive packages to shipping sources such as Fed-Ex, Alaska Air Cargo, Raven etc.
- Assist shareholders to complete documents as needed, log received shareholder information and forward to Shareholder Services Manager and Assistant
- Maintain security for office by keeping an eye out for suspicious characters
- Assist in preparation of Ahtna staff meetings and employee events
- Use computer for various applications such as word processing and excel
- Perform other duties as assigned
