Job Requirements

  • the ability to project a positive public image in person and over the phone
  • the ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and in writing
  • the ability to proofread and edit
  • excellent writing skills preferred
  • demonstrates exceptional customer service skills
  • high school diploma
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience
  • 2-3 years of general clerical experience
  • keyboarding at 50 w.p.m.
  • proven ability to utilize computer hardware and software including Microsoft Windows software such as Excel and Word, including advanced merging and mailings from a spreadsheet
  • willingness to learn how to work in the communication and visit system used by the Office of Admission
  • proven organizational skills, the ability to multitask and attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience
  • 2-3 years of general clerical experience
  • keyboarding at 50 w.p.m.
  • proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word including advanced mail merges
  • effective communication skills in person, phone, and writing
  • excellent proofreading and editing skills
  • proven organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to multitask efficiently
  • willingness to learn new communication and visit management systems
  • exceptional customer service skills

Job Duties

  • greet and welcome campus visitors and prospective students
  • answer and route phone calls and emails to appropriate staff
  • prepare the admission presentation space daily
  • manage and coordinate daily schedules for campus visits
  • assist with scheduling tours, events, and meetings with faculty and coaching staff
  • prepare registration materials and visit packages for on-campus events
  • track RSVPs and send reminder emails for admissions events
  • communicate with high school contacts about counselor travel
  • train student and regular employees on desk operations and customer service
  • provide clerical and financial administrative support as backup
