Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to operate telecommunication equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer operations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to work full-time on weekends

Job Duties

  • Provide hospital telecommunication services through telephones, pagers, the paging system, radio, and computer
  • Connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and patients' families
  • Maintain records related to telecommunications such as long distance phone calls, on-call employees, and pages
  • Integrate the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice
  • Ensure professional and courteous communication with all stakeholders
  • Manage multiple communication channels efficiently
  • Assist in scheduling and information dissemination as needed
