Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Six months to one year prior reception experience in an office environment preferred
  • Knowledge of basic telephone reception systems and techniques required
  • Ability to handle incoming telephone calls and visitors pleasantly and courteously required
  • Ability to respond calmly to emergency situations required
  • Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing required
  • Finger and hand dexterity required
  • Visual and auditory acuity required
  • Ability to lift at least 15 lbs and carry objects required
  • Ability to push and pull carts, walk, sit and stand continuously required
  • Ability to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist and reach above shoulder height required
  • Use good body mechanics
  • Ability to type and use a computer required

Job Qualifications

  • Must have knowledge of basic telephone reception systems and techniques
  • Ability to handle all incoming telephone calls and visitors in a pleasant and courteous manner
  • Ability to provide clerical support and represent the residence professionally
  • Ability to respond calmly to emergency situations
  • Must communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
  • Focused and dedicated to provide excellent customer service
  • A high school diploma or GED preferred
  • Six months to one year prior reception experience in an office environment preferred
  • Typing or word processing experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community
  • Actively participate in community occupancy growth by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members and professionals
  • Handle incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner and direct them accordingly
  • Greet guests and visitors in a professional and courteous manner and direct them accordingly
  • File correspondence and sort mail
  • Record and type guest meal charges
  • Maintain and file resident safety sheets
  • Type correspondence as needed
  • Coordinate front desk activities and maintain the front desk in a neat and orderly manner
  • Respond to emergency situations by contacting appropriate parties such as 911, fire department, police
  • Attend required in-service training sessions and orientations
  • Respond to resident needs in a courteous manner
  • Update the communication log book regularly
  • Maintain community brochures and stock
