Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED preferred
- Six months to one year prior reception experience in an office environment
- Knowledge of basic telephone reception systems and techniques
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Must have finger and hand dexterity to manipulate instruments and equipment
- Must have visual and auditory acuity
- Ability to lift at least 15 pounds and carry objects
- Capacity to push and pull carts and continuously walk, sit and stand as needed
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as turning, crouching, kneeling, stooping, bending below waist and reaching above shoulder height
- Must use good body mechanics
- Must be able to type and use a computer
Job Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of basic telephone reception systems and techniques
- Ability to handle all incoming telephone calls and visitors in a pleasant and courteous manner
- Provide clerical support and represent the residence professionally
- Ability to respond calmly to emergency situations
- Strong communication skills in English both orally and in writing
- Focused and dedicated to providing excellent customer service
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
- Requires six months to one year prior reception experience in an office environment
- Typing or word processing experience is preferred
Job Duties
- Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community
- Represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members and professionals to grow community occupancy
- Handle incoming telephone calls professionally and courteously and direct them accordingly
- Greet guests and visitors in a professional and courteous manner and direct them accordingly
- File correspondence and sort mail
- Record and type guest meal charges
- Maintain and file resident safety sheets
- Coordinate front desk activities and maintain the front desk in a neat and orderly manner
- Respond to emergency situations calmly by contacting appropriate parties such as 911, fire department, police
- Attend required in-service training sessions and orientations
- Respond to residents needs in a courteous manner
- Update the communication log book regularly
- Maintain community brochures and stock
