Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a receptionist in a professional environment or similar role preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor in all situations
- General knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Church and Parish workings
- Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products

Job Duties
- Represent the Cathedral and wider Church to the public by projecting a courteous, warm, welcoming, and empathetic image and presence to visitors, volunteers, parishioners, staff, and parish vendors
- Welcome and direct visitors to the cathedral offices appropriately
- Receive and direct general phone calls appropriately and convey voicemail messages to the appropriate staff as needed
- Receive and direct requests for pastoral care visits such as Communion Calls, Anointing of the Sick, Last Rites, etc. with pastoral care and sensitivity, notifying appropriate clergy or volunteers in a timely fashion
- Answer routine questions to assist staff, volunteers, parishioners, and parish vendors
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages
- Prepare mailings as needed
- Process requests and payments for Mass intentions and Mass cards
- Fulfill requests for sacramental certificates as needed
- Perform office opening and closing procedures as directed
