Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate
- 2+ years of reception experience
- prior experience with medical terminology preferred
- ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians
- self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards

Job Duties
- Answer multi-line phones
- greet patients and vendors
- sign patients in and out while obtaining insurance information and other necessary patient data
- enter patient data into EHR systems
- schedule patient appointments both on the phone and at checkout desks
- collect outstanding balances and copays
- provide patients with support and guidance as needed
- maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures
- assist the Office Manager in creating the reception team’s weekly schedule
- review provider schedule to utilize override capabilities when appropriate
- address patient concerns, team concerns, and serve as a point of escalation for reception issues
- train new team members and provide coaching for existing team members
- serve as the point of contact for the DOCS billing team
- process returned statements
- develop and implement opportunities to increase efficiency
- spot check reception work and run audits
- review daily deposits and deliver cash deposits to the bank when applicable
- interview candidates
- document and file HIPAA/incident reports
- other duties as assigned
