- high school diploma or equivalent
- one or more years of experience in customer service
- preferred experience in health care setting and proficiency with office equipment
- ability to type at least 50 words per minute
- excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties
- greet customers and visitors in the surgery area
- provide information and assistance to patients and families
- communicate effectively with departments and clinical staff
- answer telephones and record messages
- prepare schedules and maintain appointment calendars
- copy materials and perform typing tasks
- manage filing and clerical organization
- update family and friends on patient surgical status
- coordinate communication between physicians, staff, and patients' families
- maintain and replenish surgery lounge supplies
- proactively assist visitors by answering questions and providing resources
- demonstrate professionalism and respect in all interactions
- adhere to safety and confidentiality protocols
- complete required training and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- manage time effectively and comply with department policies
