Job Requirements
- Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment
- certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider or obtain within three months of hire
- proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three months of hire
- ability to read, write, and understand the English language
- high school diploma or equivalent
- maintain a high degree of confidentiality with patient information
- possess a personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring
- ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- proficiency with Electronic Health Record systems
- ability to manage multiple phone lines and scheduling software
- experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred
- knowledge of insurance verification and billing processes
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- basic understanding of medical terminology is a plus
Job Duties
- Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions
- perform patient check-in at the time of visit and complete all steps necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and in compliance with all clinic and regulatory policies
- answer phone calls and direct them appropriately
- schedule appointments according to office guidelines
- obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts
- copy or scan patient access related hardcopy materials into electronic medical records
- maintain patient flow and support front desk responsibilities
